The public well is an ornate fixture serving water to the citizens of Stros M'Kai. It is situated in the town square just outside the Draggin Tale and Rollo's dwelling.

Before using it to create combinations with a glass bottle (found at the alchemist's shack), you have to turn the wheel twice. This drops the bucket into the water and then pulls it back up. The well is a good source of pure water to fill a glass bottle with 20 uses that each restore 5 health. You can also mix aloe into the water before you fill the bottle to get pure water and aloe mix, a better healing remedy with 20 uses that each restore 15 health.

The book Flora of Hammerfell, available from J'ffer's Books, hints at the aloe combination for new players.
