Bug with Stability perk[edit]

There is a Vanilla bug with the Magelight spell.

Unlike Candlelight, Magelight does not increase in duration with the Stability perk, even though the in-game description says it does (90 seconds with the perk, 60 seconds without).

I did a Total Vanilla test with a new game and only the Hi Res Textures and USKP running.

                             Candlelight Magelight

Single cast = 60 s 60 s

Single cast + Stability = 90 s 60 s

Dual cast = 132 s 132 s

Dual cast + Stability = 198 s 132 s

Stability is supposed to increase the duration by 1.5. Alteration Dual Casting s supposed to increase the duration by 2.2

60 x 1.5 = 90

60 x 2.2 = 132

60 x 1.5 x 2.2 = 198

The number of lights being limited to one is governed by the:

TestLightHazard HAZD 003FA51 resource

which references:

MagicLightLightSpell01 LIGH 0003FA58 LightSpellHazard.nif

MagicLightLightSpell01 LIGH is referenced both by LightFFSelf for Candlelight as well as LightFFAimed for Magelight.

Why Stability fails only to be applied to Magelight I do not know.

If anyone is clever enough to fix this, I'd be very grateful.

Collision[edit]

Might be worth mentioning in the notes that, if cast on a deceased target (regardless of whether it was dead on spawn or if it was killed), Magelight will collide with and push the target. (Tested it on multiple targets. Haven't considered testing it on inanimate objects yet, but will do so if I think of it during my next session.) TTRM (talk) 13:39, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
