Ellina Iron-Heart

Ellina Iron-Heart, an Imperial child, is the daughter of Jerall View Inn servant Lassinia Iron-Heart and missing Imperial soldier Harran Iron-Heart.

Ellina lives in her grandfather Sellus Prelius's house, were she will sleep from midnight to 8am. After breakfast, from 10am to 8pm she will be found running around the streets of Bruma playing tag with her friend Banus Jucani. At 8pm she heads over to the Jerall View and spends four hours with her mother before heading to bed.

She wears child's clothes and shoes, and carries the key to her grandfather's house as well as an assortment of toys and food.

Dialogue

If you bump into Ellina, she will ask:

"Stranger... have you seen my dad?"

What does he look like?

"He's big and tall with yellow hair."

Where did you see him last?

"Dad's a soldier in the Legion. He's always off with them, serving at some fort up in the mountains."

He's in the Legion?

"That's what my mom told me. She told me that her dad was in the Legion, too."

Is he there because of the civil war in Skyrim?

"Yeah. Grandpa told me it's a soldier's duty and that I should be proud of him."

What is his name?

"Sellus Prelius. Mommy says it's a strong Imperial name but I like my name better. It means I have a strong heart. Mommy must like it better too because she uses it even though it makes grandpa mad."

Where's your grandfather?

"At home, I think. We all live in the big house across from the wizards."

Wizards?

"Mommy says they're called the Synod conclave but they just look like wizards to me. They make so much noise at night that sometimes I can't sleep. That big eye on their building is scary, too."

Where's your mother?

"She works at the Jerall View Inn. I don't think she likes it there, but she says she has to "make end's meat." Whatever that means. Who's End, and why does he need meat in the first place?"

What's her name?

"Lassinia Iron-Heart. She told me that she used to be called Lassinia Prelius, but then she married dad."

Quest-Related Dialogue

Speaking to Lassinia will then start the related quest. After your investigations reveal Harran had defected to the Stormcloaks before being killed by the Thalmor, you can choose to either tell Ellina the truth or lie about his fate:

"Did you find him?"

Not yet.

"Okay..."

Yes. I'm sorry, Ellina. He died.

"My daddy died? What happened?"

He died fighting Stormcloaks. He was a true hero of the Legion. (Lie)

"Oh... Grandpa always said that a good soldier does what they do for the Empire. He was keeping us safe. When I grow up, I want to keep people safe too. I'm not old enough to join the Legion, but I can practice."

He joined the Stormcloaks to fight for Skyrim.

"The Stormcloaks? But grandpa says they're bad people. Was my daddy bad?"

That's not for me to say. / No, the Legion was being bad. He did what he did to make things safer for you.

"Oh... I know that when a Nord dies in battle they go to Sovngarde. If I'm a warrior, maybe I'll see my daddy again one day. I guess I'd better go practice. Bye stranger, and thank you. Thank you so much. I'm going to tell my mother. You might want to talk to her. She might reward you for all you've done."
