Sinja Strong-Mind

Sinja Strong-Mind, a Nord citizen, is a highborn member of Count Desilus Carvain's court at Castle Bruma. During Ugly Love, you will interrogate her over a mercenary contract she took out to rid Plundered Mine of some bandits, but she will prove of little use.

She sleeps from 10pm to 7am in the Guest Wing of the castle, before enjoying a two-hour breakfast in the Great Hall. Between 9am and 3pm she will be found pacing around her quarters, gossiping to any of the other inhabitants. At that point she will head to the Jerall View Inn to eat and further socialise with the citizens of Bruma until 6pm. She will then return to the castle to join in the Count's dinner and spend the rest of the evening relaxing in her quarters. The only exception to this schedule is during Service Rewarded, when she will be waiting in the throne room alongside her fellow nobles to acclaim you Friend to Bruma.

Sinja's attire reflect her status: she wears fine clothes and boots. She also carries a steel dagger and a random assortment of jewelry, gems, gold, lockpicks, food and drink.

Related Quests[edit]

Dialogue[edit]

Her high station means that unless you are questioning her during the related quest, she will only briefly introduce herself:

"I'm Sinja. Sinja Strong-Mind. I'm one of the nobles of County Bruma. Is there anything I can help you with?"

Quest-Related Events[edit]

During the related quest, other nobles will mention a mercenary raid she'd sponsored. Simund Gautierre will shiftily say:

Do you know of any nobles that hired mercenaries recently?
"Erm, yes, there was... Strong-Mind's operation. That's... about all I can remember, though."

You will be able to question her about this, though she won't yield much useful information:

Do you know of any nobles that hired mercenaries recently?
"I heard of two raids on bandits in the last few months. They were... there was Operation Strongarm and another. The other one was on a Middas, if memory serves, but Strongarm was my idea. Afraid that's all I can remember, though. Things move quickly here in the castle."
Who did you hire for the raid?
"I hired... just some common, everyday mercenaries, really. Nothing particularly special about them as far as I recall."
Where were the bandits holed up?
"They were holed up in Plundered Mine, as far as I remember. More have probably moved in by now, sadly. I swear. Bandits. Breed faster than skeevers in a keg of Black-Briar... Ahem."
Was the raid successful?
"Yes, it was. The bandits were cleared out and their ringleader killed. Minimal casualties on our side."

If you eventually choose to indicate her as being responsible for Atul's kidnapping, Dumrag gro-Morrg will howl:

It was Sinja Strong-Mind.
"Then it's time to end that miserable little woman's games. Follow me, and stick close. Time to finish this."

Once he arrives at the throne room, he will cut her down before being himself slain by the Count's guards:

Dumrag: "It's time! I want to see the scum that kidnapped my wife! Sinja, come here and face me! Your games are up!"
Sinja: "What's going on here?"
Dumrag: "Ah, yes, try to slither out of it like the snake you are. Try all you like, retribution comes swiftly."
