The Hoïnarts were a noble family of Bretons active in High Rock during the closing days of the Third Era and the Septim Empire. The family itself was important enough to hold currency even in the province of Black Marsh to the far southeast of High Rock.[1]

History[edit]

Septim Empire and the An-Xileel Uprising[edit]

Taig Hoïnart, a minor member of the Hoïnart family who flourished in the early Fourth Era, held a noble title in High Rock and owned estates in the city-state of Lilmoth under the Septim Empire. Who had a number of royal servants, and enjoyed a number of flipperous activities, such as: balls, cotillions, and evenings at the theater. However, the Imperial government in Lilmoth was overthrown completely by a new political faction called the An-Xileel, and Taig was left economically devastated in the event.[1][2] Taig later served as an advisor to the An-Xileel government in Lilmoth.[1][2]

Coming of Umbriel[edit]

When the floating island of Umbriel imported itself from Oblivion into Tamriel, Taig Hoïnart's daughter, Annaïg Hoïnart, was personally involved in averting catastrophe. In conjunction with a number of heroes working towards from afar, including Crown Prince Attrebus of the Mede Empire, Annaïg ended the crisis. After doing so, Attrebus and Annaïg became romantically involved, and resolved to spend their lives together.[1][3]
