Landlopers are scaled, cervine-like creatures believed to be the product of ancient Argonian flesh-shaping magic. The Stone-Nest tribe of the isle of Solstice, once known for manipulating flesh as skillfully as they shaped stone, crafted these creatures through powerful arcane practices. Though this art, rooted in traditions far older than the Duskfall, has long been lost, the Landlopers remained as living echoes of those forgotten rituals.[1]

Muzah-Tei of the Antiquarian Circle recorded her thoughts on these beings in her work Stone-Nest Scribbles.[1] The Stone-Nest tribe was known for their use of ancient magicks to alter living beings. Some of their arts were believed by some to stem from Daedric origins. They were used to create Vahath Behemoths, another type of creatures born of magical alteration.[2]
