Castle Shedungent is a great castle and laboratory located deep within the Wrothgarian Mountains.
In 3E 403, Nulfaga retired to the castle during the War of Betony between Daggerfall and Sentinel.[1][2] She remained informed of the happenings in Daggerfall by Skakmat, her dragon familiar.[3] After the death of her son, King Lysandus of Daggerfall, later that year, Nulfaga was stricken with grief and slowly descended into madness within the confines of Shedungent.[4]
In the events leading up to the Warp in the West, Nulfaga was cured of her madness and was responsible for teleporting an agent of the Blades to the Mantellan Crux in Aetherius to retrieve the Mantella. The Mantella was returned to Tamriel at Shedungent, thus beginning the Warp in the West.[5][6]
Notes[edit]
- The doorkeeper of Shedungent that appears as an undead statue was expanded on by developer Ted Peterson for Loranna's RP, where it is explained that the "statue" is actually a lich named Yenearclogh, bound to Nulfaga, who can engage in dialogue.[UOL 1]
