High King Tenalarion was an Altmer ruler of the Summerset Isles, active during the early years of the First Era and a contemporary of Alessia.[1]

History[edit]

Little is known about Tenalarion's life and reign, except that he was actively ruling as of 1E 243 and in the years that followed. He held the throne in the period after the Alessian Slave Rebellion.[1][2] Faced with the rise of a new power in Cyrodiil, one that distrusted Elves and reviled Daedric worship, High King Tenalarion imposed a strict ban on Velothi practices.

Refusing to accept the seizure of their property and the imprisonment of their leaders, Clan Corelanya chose to leave the Summerset archipelago. This led to the founding of the separate kingdom on the shores of Hammerfell in 1E 522, established by Sundavar Corelanya. The new nation sought to maintain neutrality with the High Kings and Queens of Summerset, including Tenalarion and his successors.[1]
