Wraithmaster Venerien was an accomplished Altmer mage and a member of the Corelanya Clan. He was the most powerful necromancer of his clan in his time and the assassin of King Xakhwan of the Ra Gada.[1]
History[edit]
Little is known of Venerien's past, except that he was the most powerful necromancer in Kinlady Iniel Corelanya's employ.[1] During the battle of Ash'abah Pass in 1E 853 Iniel sent Venerien to assassinate King Xakhwan prior to the battle, while she engaged his sons, Princes Haqmir and Sameer, and their forces on an open field.[2][3][4]
Venerien displayed traits of vampirism and fought the princes while animating the corpse of their father. He was ultimately defeated by the forces of the Ra Gada along with the rest of the Corelanya.[3][5]
The events of the battle were witnessed in a vision by an adventurer in 2E 582, who sought to join the Ash'abah. Venerien was also mentioned by Regent Karinwe, a leader of the remaining Corelanya of Solstice, in her research on the history of her clan.[1]
