The Yrinthi River is seemingly a major waterway, accessible by ship from the ports of the Imperial City in the heartland of Tamriel. It flows westward across the continent before eventually emptying into the Bjoulsae River.[1]:5 Riding across the entire river from start to end takes a number of weeks.[1]:5

History[edit]

By 3E 405, the Yrinthi River was notoriously infested with pirates, as was the Bjoulsae River and the Iliac Bay; highly decorated ships needed to be well-defended in order to complete a safe voyage.[1]:5 On mission to the Kingdom of Daggerfall, The Agent took a small fishing craft from the Imperial Province across the Yrinthi and into the Bjoulsae to reach their destination.[1]:5

Notes[edit]

  • The Yrinthi River has never appeared physically in the games or on any official maps of Tamriel.
  • The Cyrodiil passage of the Pocket Guide to the Empire: 1st Edition refers to rivers in Cyrodiil connecting the Imperial City by trade to inland ports located in Skyrim and Elsweyr, indicating that a river flowing from Cyrodiil into northern Tamriel exists.[2]
