Obtaining the Armor

Armor computed incorrectly

I noticed this armor's value is computed strangely. I thought it was having to do with wearing it when I completed the quest, but now with more testing I see it is something else. If I remove and re-equip the Ebony Mail, my armor is being computed wrong. My total armor, is now 206, but if I remove any piece of armor, other than the Ebony Mail, and re-equip it then my armor is recomputed at 256. If I then re-equip the Ebony Mail, my total armor goes back to 206. --Brf (talk) 00:20, 18 November 2024 (UTC)

I just computed it according the the armor formula, and it comes out to 205.6. I am guessing that the 50 points of Shield that Ebony Mail provides is being added into the armor class when you are wearing it and armor is recomputed, but not when you re-equip the Ebony Mail itself. --Brf (talk) 00:29, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
