Blackvine Strangler

Blackvine Strangler is a strong strangler encountered as a boss in Black Vine Ruins. It has a chance to drop Spinner's Sapstung Helmet, a unique item in the Spinner's Garments set. The corpse of Zidal lies on the ground in front of it.

Skills and Abilities

As an elite rank creature, the Blackvine Strangler is immune to crowd control.

Strike

A basic melee attack that deals minor physical damage.

Spit

A basic ranged attack that deals minor poison damage.

Grapple

When standing away from the Blackvine Strangler, it pulls its target to itself using a vine. Blocking prevents being pulled.

Strangle

The Blackvine Strangler drains the target's blood, dealing moderate physical damage over time. This can be interrupted to stagger the Blackvine Strangler. If this fully completes, the Blackvine Strangler becomes empowered and deals ~+0.7% more damage for a time.

Poisoned Ground

The Blackvine Strangler sends out roots at the target's position, indicated by a red circle, which then close onto them, dealing moderate poison damage.
