King Dynar has devised a two-pronged attack to take control of the Reaver Citadel. It utilizes the old Fighters and Mages Guilds' halls located in this ancient Nirn city.
Quick Walkthrough[edit]
- Talk to King Dynar.
- Find a way into the Reaver Citadel.
- Locate the ward key and gain access to the Fighters Guild.
- Recover the portal stones and activate the Mages Guild portal.
- Enter the Citadel Pyramid and defeat Valkynaz Seris.
- Talk to Vanus Galerion.
Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
Notes[edit]
- Despite being presented as hints required to progress the objective, speaking to Lyranth as she appears as you make your way into and through the citadel isn't mandatory. However, when skipped, multiple hints shown as "Talk to Lyranth" will accumulate together in the HUD.
- The overlapping hints are removed upon accessing the Fighters Guild hall.
- Although the doors to the Fighters Guild hall are inaccessible beforehand, they will only appear warded with the related magical VFX once the quest is started.
- The horn lamp containing the Fighters Guild hall ward key won't exist before starting the quest.
- It's possible to skip the waves of dremora and their leader Markynaz Gadrah on the way to the Upper City, as the gates can be used before they spawn and disable the use prompt.
- The Mages Guild hall portal stones won't exist in the Upper City before starting the quest.
- Despite appearing as Varla stones in their model, the quest item icon depicts the portal stones as Welkynd stones instead.
- The tunnel and portal used by the guilds to access the citadel cannot be taken for quick access back to the entry point of the citadel for yourself.
- The dremora enemies are removed from the citadel once both guilds are allowed access inside.
Bugs[edit]
- Although inaccessible beforehand, during the quest, the Mages Guild hall doesn't appear warded and is accessible early, unlike the Fighters Guild hall, despite what is stated by King Laloriaran Dynar at the start of the quest. ?
- The ward on the pyramid door is removed and access is granted upon exiting dialogue with Lyranth rather than after she performs her ritual. ?
