Skills and Abilities[edit]
- An obvious source of the Yaghra Larvae, these steadfast commanders oppress the battlefield through rapid reproduction and an almost unnatural (yet commanding) bond with all their lesser brethren. — Prima guide description[1]:220
- Impale
- The Yaghra Monstrosity stands on its rear legs and slams down at its target, attempting to impale their skull. This attack creates a large AoE in front of the Monstrosity.
- Stab
- A melee ability. The Monstrosity uses one of its massive front limbs to stab a target in a downward motion. Should be avoided.
- Tocochlea
- The Monstrosity convulses, forcing Larvae out of the frontal orifice on its abdomen. Afterward, the Monstrosity jumps to its feet and either continues combat or runs at you and explodes. Occasionally, the Monstrosity produces a Yaghra Larva Hoarder, a larva variant that drops gold and rare crafting materials when killed. A Hoarder is more likely to be produced as the fight against a Monstrosity draws on.
- Pustulent Eruption
- The Monstrosity shakes its rear abdomen, spilling fluid in all several directions. The fluid creates an AoE that travels in a line, and leave a pool of filth at the end of their journey, which persists for a few seconds bubbling and bursting apart. The bursting bubbles deal poison damage. The Monstrosity should be interrupted, and the projectiles should be avoided.
- Corpulence
Cloudrest abilities:
- Lunging Slash
- The Monstrosity lunges forward and slashes with its frontal limbs, dealing major physical damage.
- Baneful Barb
- This ability is exclusive to the Monstrosities encountered in Cloudrest. After it raises its front claws, the Monstrosity will take its target down to 40% health (20% on Veteran) and apply a unique heal debuff that reduces healing taken by 60% (80% on Veteran). This debuff will only end if the Monstrosity that applied it dies, or the target of the debuff is healed back to 100% health.
