Aetherial Staff

The Aetherial Staff is a staff created at the Aetherium Forge as one of three possible rewards for Lost to the Ages. The appearance of the staff is similar to the Spider Control Rod, but with an aqua-blue crystal made of Aetherium.

To make the Aetherial Staff, you must have (in addition to the Aetherium Crest): 2 Dwarven Metal Ingots 2 Ebony Ingots 1 Gold Ingot

The Aetherial Staff can summon Dwarven Spiders or Spheres, although there is a chance there will be a mishap in the summoning with interesting effects. The specific chances associated with each outcome and the specific details of those outcomes are captured in the tables below.

When a mishap occurs, the mishap can be any of three outcomes according to the following table:

Chance	Effect
20%	A Broken Dwarven Spider spawns, and then dies instantly.
20%	A Broken Dwarven Sphere spawns, and then dies instantly.
60%	A Broken Dwarven Spider spawns, and then dies and transforms into a pile of Dwarven metal scraps.

Notes

• The summoned spider will replace any dead thralls. Even with the Twin Souls perk you can only have one spider at a time.
• The staff is not affected by Conjuration spell cost reduction and the summoned creatures aren't affected by any of the Conjuration perks, however the duration of the Sphere Guardian is affected by Fortify Conjuration potions.

Bugs

• The Sphere Guardian is affected by fortify conjuration, but none of the other spheres or spiders are.
