Enchanting[edit]
The following items use this effect. You can learn how to enchant custom items with Fortify Alchemy if you find one of the following items and disenchant it:
- All varieties of Bracers/Gauntlets, Helmets, and Necklaces of Alchemy
- Includes the enchantments of [Minor/Major/Extreme/Eminent/Peerless] Alchemy
- Muiri's Ring
- Ring of Pure Mixtures
- This item cannot be disenchanted while the related quest is active, but can at other times.
Items that use the effect but cannot be disenchanted include:
Items to Enchant[edit]
The Fortify Alchemy effect can be applied to the following items:
- Circlets, Hoods, and Helmets
- Gauntlets and Gloves
- Necklaces
- Rings
Notes[edit]
- The book Herbalist's Guide to Skyrim lists the ingredient deathbell as "effective in mixtures for boosting one['s] Alchemy skill." This is not true, as there are no ingredients with the fortify alchemy effect.
- Radiant Raiment in Solitude is a great place to look as it is frequently restocked with several enchanted items.
- The Seeker of Shadows power from the Dragonborn add-on fortifies your alchemy along with all other stealth skills by 10%.
Bugs[edit]
- Falmer and Penitus Oculatus helmets can be worn together with circlets or Krosis. When enchanted with Fortify Alchemy, this allows you to equip five Alchemy-boosting items at once, instead of four.
- The Unofficial Skyrim Patch, version 1.2, fixes this bug.
- The Seeker of Shadows reward acquired from the Black Book The Sallow Regent only gives a 9% bonus to prices instead of the advertised 10%.
- The Unofficial Dragonborn Patch, version 1.0.3, fixes this bug.
- Due to a bug, the Dwarven Helmet of Eminent Alteration also has an alchemy enchantment. ?
