Quick Walkthrough

1. Speak to Breynard Ancois at the Vermilion Hound Cornerclub about Ulyne Rothalen.
2. Bring the Letter from Breynard Ancois to the Rothalen Residence in Hlerynhul and either:
   • Hand the letter to Eno Rothalen.
   • Give the letter to Ulyne Rothalen.
3. Return to Breynard (rewards 0 or 100 gold).
4. Speak to Breynard after two days have passed.
5. Escort Ulyne to the picnic on the hill north of the town's Tribunal Temple.
6. Speak to Breynard (rewards 1x Twin Moons Wine).
7. Talk to Breynard at the Cornerclub after a day has passed about Myron Rothalen and mistress.
8. Search the bedroom in Myron's outfitter store for evidence of impropriety.
9. Bring Rothalen's Right Glove to Breynard.
10. Ask around the Hleryn Estate about the glove.
11. Give the glove to Dradiva Hleryn in the estate's private quarters (rewards 100 gold).
12. Report your findings to Breynard.
13. Search Dradiva Hleryn's Small Chest for a Letter from Eno Rothalen, and read it.
14. Speak to Breynard.
15. Bring the Rothalen Divorce Papers to Myron Rothalen.
    • Either:
      1. Insist that Myron signs.
      2. Return with the signed papers (TR_m7_RothalenDivorcePapersS) to Breynard.
      3. Meet Breynard at the docks and ask him about his return to Glenpoint (rewards Ancois Family Pants).
    • Or:
      1. Deliver the Letter from Ulyne Rothalen to Breynard.
      2. Return to Myron (rewards 2 Mercantile).

Notes

• You can also give the Letter from Eno Rothalen to Ivul Hleryn, which effectively fails the quest.
• The Dunmer approach to affairs as illustrated by this quest appears to be to quietly ignore them - Myron claims to be less offended by the affair than by how public Breynard has been about it, while Ivul simply destroys the evidence.

10		I met a Breton knight named Breynard Ancois in the Vermilion Hound Cornerclub in Hlerynhul. Breynard has fallen in love with a local woman named Ulyne Rothalen, who's married to the local merchant Myron Rothalen. Breynard asked me to deliver a love letter to Ulyne, who's being guarded by her brother-in-law Eno Rothalen.
20		I handed over the letter to Eno Rothalen. He said he'd deliver it to Ulyne.
30		I gave Breynard's letter to Ulyne.
50		Breynard was angry over the fact that I didn't give the letter to Ulyne Rothalen directly, but rather to her brother-in-law. He said that despite my failure, he could still use my help in a plan to get Ulyne's husband and brother-in-law away from her. Breynard asked me to meet him in two days.
60		Breynard was satisfied and gave me a small reward for delivering the letter to Ulyne Rothalen. He said that he could still use my help in a plan to get Ulyne's husband and brother-in-law away from her. Breynard asked me to meet him in two days.
100		Two days have passed. Breynard Ancois should be waiting for me at the cornerclub.
110		Breynard told me that he plans to host a waterside picnic for Ulyne Rothalen. He asked me to go to the Rothalen residence and bring Ulyne to the spot where he'll be preparing the picnic in the meantime, north of the Temple.
120		I collected Ulyne from her home.
130		I brought Ulyne to the waterside picnic. She was delighted with the preparations Breynard made.
140		Breynard thanked me for bringing Ulyne to the picnic safely and gave me a bottle of quality Cyrodiilic wine. He told me to see him again at the Vermilion Hound Cornerclub in one day.
200		Breynard Ancois has probably returned to the cornerclub from the picnic.
210		Breynard told me he had been confronted by Myron Rothalen after his picnic with Ulyne. He believes that Myron himself might be having an affair. Breynard asked me to investigate Myron's shop to see if I can find any traces of his alleged mistress.
220		I found an extravagant glove under the bed in Myron's shop. It smells heavily of perfume.
230		I found out that the extravagant glove belongs to Dradiva Hleryn, the wife of Ivul Hleryn. I returned the glove to her.
240		I told Breynard that the glove I found belonged to Dradiva Hleryn. He told me I should investigate her private quarters to find more evidence of an affair between Lady Hleryn and Myron Rothalen.
250		I found a love letter addressed to Dradiva Hleryn in her private quarters. The letter wasn't signed by Myron, but rather by his brother, Eno Rothalen.
260		I brought back Eno's love letter to Breynard. He was surprised to learn that Dradiva Hleryn is Eno's mistress, rather than Myron's, but he told me I should confront Myron with the letter anyway. Breynard said he wants me to threaten Myron with exposing this affair so that he'll sign a contract that annuls Ulyne and Myron's marriage.
270		I confronted Myron Rothalen with his brother-in-law's affair and asked him to sign the contract. Myron pleaded with me that I should instead help him break up the affair between Ulyne and Breynard. He asked me to deliver Breynard a letter that he made Ulyne write, calling off the affair.
280		I accepted Myron's offer to bring Ulyne's letter to Breynard.
290		I demanded that Myron sign the divorce contract under threat of exposing his brother's affair to Ivul Hleryn.
300		I returned to Breynard with the divorce contract. He was overjoyed and started making preparations to return to Glenpoint with Ulyne immediately. He asked me to meet him at the Hlerynhul docks.
310	Finishes quest	I brought back Ulyne's letter to Breynard. He told me that he would pack up his belongings and leave as soon as possible.
320	Finishes quest	I met Breynard and Ulyne in the port. Breynard thanked me for finding him the love of his life and told me they're about to leave for High Rock.
330	Finishes quest	I told Ivul Hleryn about his wife's affair with Eno Rothalen, and gave him the letter as proof. He ripped up the letter and told me to never mention this affair to anyone ever again.
500	Finishes quest	I informed Breynard Ancois about the death of Ulyne Rothalen. He was completely devastated, and vowed to leave Morrowind immediately.
