Flaalsa Irano is a Dark Elf guard and Kinsman in Great House Indoril. She is the guard captain, a rank earned but a few years ago, of Akamora and can be found in the Guard Tower on the north side of town. Talking to her will show she takes pride in being a Great House Indoril member. This contributes to her animosity towards the Fighters Guild which she describes as 'a gang of foreign mercenaries'. Nevertheless she is on cordial terms with her sister Laalalvo Irano who holds a position there. Flaalsa is a good source of information on the complex political situation in Akamora and is involved in various quests in and around the city. Most notably she is the quest giver for Hunting Daedra in which the player is asked to deal with a local Daedra problem.
She wears a dreugh cuirass, Native Chuzei bonemold boots, greaves and pauldrons as well as regular bonemold bracers. Additionally she wears an expensive shirt. extravagant pants and an Indoril warrior skirt. Her weapon of choice is a silver saber. Aside from her natural resistance to fire and the sanctuary provided by her ancestors, she knows no spells.

Dialogue[edit]
- Greetings:
- "Greetings, %PCClass. I don't suppose you're here because of the Dridrea sightings, are you?"
- "How goes the Dridrea hunting, %PCClass?"
- "What can I do for you, %PCRace?"
- Akamora: "I see to it that the laws of House Indoril are upheld here in Akamora. We tolerate neither the pettiest crime nor the highest blasphemy. This is in stark contrast with the lawlessness of neighboring Telvanni district, where murder and sacrilege are actively encouraged by those in power."
- animosity between the rivaling nobles: "Novas Senim has been the undisputed lord of Akamora for ages. But now Seras Indaren has been acting bolder and bolder, questioning the Senims' position. The lesser nobles are choosing sides, conspiring and digging spider holes, preparing for hostilities. Or so it would seem. There's a strange feeling lingering about in the air of this town. It is as if everyone was under a malicious charm. I'd like to get to the bottom of this, but I fear it would endanger the fragile peace we have."
- assassination of the Telomas:
- "Three possible candidates come to mind. First is the Indaren family and their allies the Veri family. I'd be extremely careful with the way you conduct your inquiries with the nobles. Offending them would be a huge mistake. Then there's Selari Danaran, a former Indaren hireling who held a personal grudge against Pilu Telomas. I'd also recommend you talk to lord Novas Senim. Since he employed Pilu Telomas he might have a good idea which one of her enemies could be behind all this."
- "Then Laalalvo has become more Imperial than I had thought. She'd be wiser to move her precious Guild away from here. But I will help you. Be aware that this is all off the record. You're not a representative of the law. If I receive word that you've caused any unnecessary discord in town with your inquiries, I will have my guards jail you rather than risk having the noble families warring against each other. Understood?"
- "That is something I can live with to preserve peace in Akamora. The Telomas were Senim retainers. The Senims and the Indaren family along with all their allies are locked in a behind the scenes power struggle over the lordship of this town. An investigation would inevitably pull all the animosity between the rivaling nobles out into the open. And if we were to imply even slightly that one of the families was behind the assassination--the Three forbid it--that would trigger a violent chain of events."
- "The Indaren family, the Veri family and Selari Danaran are the prime suspects. Remember to be discreet with your investigation. There's no need to fuel the animosity between the rivaling nobles. Asking the wrong questions from the wrong people might have dire consequences."
- "I have heard news of their violent deaths. My sister was right to guess that there will be no investigation on our part. The way I see it, the case is closed. You killed the assassins, didn't you?"
- Background: "The name's %Name. I've been a guard here in Akamora nearly my whole life, though I only became guard captain a few years ago. Both my sister and I joined as soon as we came of age. Of course, Laalalvo left the guard some time ago to take a position at the local Fighters Guild. We're still on cordial terms, though I'll never understand what drove her to join that gang of foreign mercenaries."
- Clibergus's ledger: "I wish you and the Fighters Guild the best of luck with finding that ledger. If times were different and there weren't much more pressing matters to attend to, this would've been a job for my guards."
- Dridrea:
- "You've already taken care of the Matriarch? That's very impressive. Well, I promised 1000 drakes to anyone willing to accept this task, so I suppose that reward belongs to you. Thank you so much for everything, %PCName."
- "The Matriarch is dead? That's excellent news! You've done this city a great service, %PCName; I won't forget this. Here's the reward I had promised you; you've more than earned it."
- "Yes, I'm hoping it'll get taken care of soon. Come see me after you've put down the Dridrea Matriarch."
- "And... one more thing. Potions of paralysis resistance, as the Guild of Mages is now producing, could be a real game-changer should you find yourself cornered by one of these beasts. It is only reasonable that I give you one on your way, seeing that you helped establish their supply in the first place. You can probably get more at a good price from the Guild's alchemists. Take care of yourself and keep me up to date!"
- "As for their whereabouts... They have been seen somewhere not far from the road to Tomaril Manor. Don't hesitate to ask the guards at the manor; they might have newer reports. And watch out for yourself once again; these creatures may look like spiders, but they are among the most dangerous daedra seen in this land."
- "If you're handy with a bow, I'd recommend shooting them from a safe distance with the best arrows you can scrape up. Either that, or cast projectile spells if you're any good with that. You should most definitely not confront them in melee without some serious protective armor and an antidote to their blinding and burdening magic. Ultimately, how you go about it is your business, but don't rush into the hunt unprepared. You can stock up on supplies at the Fighters Guild here in Akamora if necessary."
- "If you're handy with a bow, I'd recommend shooting them from a safe distance with the best arrows you can scrape up. Either that, or cast projectile spells if you're any good with magic. If you are skilled enough, you can even defeat them in melee, but be aware of their blinding and burdening magic. Ultimately, how you go about it is your business, but I personally wouldn't go near the nest if I didn't have to. You can stock up on supplies at the Fighters Guild here in Akamora if necessary."
- "What a relief to hear that. I'll just get right down to it then. The Dridrea sightings have all taken place in the mountains just to the southeast of here, in the direction of Tomaril Manor. I'm guessing there must be a Matriarch somewhere in those mountains, which would explain why they've been more out in the open. If you kill the Matriarch, that should cause the rest of the Dridrea to scatter."
- "Well, I can understand that. Should you ever change your mind, come back and see me."
- "Have you reconsidered, %PCClass? If those Dridrea continue to roam around the mountains, more people will go missing. Something needs to be done, and soon."
- "Yes, I've been trying to find someone who'd be willing to go to the Mephalan Vales and dispatch the Dridrea. We've been receiving a lot of reports lately of people venturing into the mountains and ending up missing. Something has to be done, or this whole situation could get a lot worse. I don't suppose you'd be interested in making a decent amount of gold, would you?"
- Indaren family: "The Indarens are the main rivals of the Senims. The Telomas' death greatly benefits them because it makes the Senims look vulnerable and undermines Novas Senim's lordship over Akamora. Seras Indaren is the head of the family, but I'd approach his wife Llathyno Indaren first."
- Novas Senim: "Novas Senim is the Lord of Akamora. His manor is located on the very peak of the rocky central islet. It's rather easy to spot."
- Paralysis resistance potion:
- "Ranosa Orrels has been talking to me. No one on the Guild's side had authorized you to demand 1000 septims for the potions. I hope the Guild can find someone who is not a thief to engage in business on their behalf. You should be thankful we are not investigating this further."
- "There is nothing more to pilfer for your mendacious guild here."
- "It is good to see that the Guild has started to take its responsibilities more seriously now."
- "Let me hope that the delays won't repeat."
- "Thanks again for the delivery. I hope the delay was a one-time issue."
- "Thanks again for the delivery."
- "Hmm... 2000 gold? It's been a long time; I guess you are right. As far as I remember, the price was not stipulated with a delay like this in mind, though, and the Guild's unreliability does not do it justice. I am not sure if any further contracts would be appropriate."
- "2000 gold? No, %PCClass, I don't think so. To your chagrin, for all the time I have been waiting for this delivery, I do remember what price I have agreed on, and it is not the one you are demanding. I don't know if you are trying to defraud me on the orders of the Guild or on your own, but I am not interested in any further business with either. You have doubly broken the contract, rendering it void. There is nothing we have to discuss. Goodbye."
- "Now this is a bargain more than worth the wait! So my trust for the Guild, against multiple advice, was founded; tell Ranosa she has my thanks, and this contract was not the last. And here are my thanks to you, for volunteering to hunt down the dridrea menacing the roads around Akamora -- one of the potions you brought is yours."
- "Now this is a bargain more than worth the wait! So my trust for the Guild, against repeated advice, was founded; tell Ranosa she has my thanks, and this contract was not the last. Now, while you are here -- there is a task that could use the help of a capable mage; Tomaril Manor is reporting trouble with dridrea, and of course there are rewards to share. Do you think you could help?"
- "Disappointed as I was with the delay, I must admit this bargain was almost worth the wait. So my trust for the Guild, against repeated advice, was founded; tell Ranosa she has my thanks, and this contract was not the last. That said, I would prefer to see the Guild delivering on time instead of lowering the price on the next one; maybe a new face like you can bring some positive change?"
- "Hmm, that sounds right. I assume getting the ingredients was harder than expected, but now that you say the Guild is growing them itself, I can hope that there will be no such delays in the future. Some more foresight on the side of the Guild would have helped, though. That said, I'm looking forward to further commerce!"
- "Hmm, that sounds right. While I can understand the difficulties of growing in a new direction, let me hope that the Guild will prove more reliable in fulfilling its contracts in due time in future. More timely work could have been expected for this price."
- "So you are from the Guild, and our request has finally been heeded! Good news, %PCRace. Please remind me, what price did we stipulate? It's been a while..."
- "So you are from the Guild, and you are saying you have finally brought up the potions we requested? Hmm -- you must have left them at the Guild, then... Come back when you have them on you; I'm waiting."
- Selari Danaran:
- "She's gone missing. I have a feeling she isn't coming back any time soon."
- "You did what had to be done."
- "Selari Danaran is a former spy for the Indarens. It's common knowledge that her career was ruined when Pilu Telomas uncovered that she was spying on lord Novas Senim. Danaran hasn't been able to get work ever since and could've been vengeful enough to hire the assassins. Selari Danaran is staying in this very tower, on the top floor."
- "You did what had to be done. I'm just glad none of the noble families were behind the assassination."
- Valley of Mephala:
- "No, %PCClass. The Matriarch is dead, and I thank you for that. Whatever you may have heard about this "Valley of Mephala", you need not concern yourself about it."
- "Where did you learn about...? That is not the source of the Dridrea infestation. It cannot be. It is but a legend, and one you would do well to stay clear of."
- Veri family: "The Veris are sworn to the Indaren family. They could've ordered the assassination to prove their loyalty to Seras Indaren and raise their status among the other Indaren retainers."
