Kaari, and the rock she is bound to

Kaari is a Golden Saint bound to a rock on a high mountaintop, southwest of Omaynis in Roth Roryn. She is a little cagey about the events that led her to be secured here, but will be grateful for your help in breaking her binds to Nirn.

It is another Golden Saint, Issmi, who will reveal the true reason for Kaari's binding:

"Ah, she didn't even tell you that before sending you here? She must've realized that not even a mortal would have sympathy for a deserter. That is what she is. She allowed an amateur conjurer summon her on Nirn, even though she knew it meant abandoning her post in the Shivering Isles. Thought we wouldn't notice, but we did. Lord Sheogorath, in his wisdom, fashioned a sentence befitting her crime. If she's so enamored of Nirn, she can stay on this plane until the end of time." - Issmi

If freed from her boulder, Kaari will promise to repay her debt. This takes the form of a one-time manifestation when your health next reaches a low level - Kaari will both heal you and engage in combat with whichever hostile brought you low.
