Kassad, a herbalist in Old Ebonheart

Kassad is a Redguard alchemist who runs a small shop in the southeastern corner of Old Ebonheart. While transplanted to Morrowind, he has a fondness for his homeland, and at the time of your arrival in the city is expecting a package from it. The retrieval of this much-diverted parcel forms the events of the quest 'A Taste of Home', and Kassad will ask you to assist.

He wears a common shirt with matching pants, shoes, belt, and ring. He carries all of the ingredients that he restocks for his shop.

Like all Redguards, he has a natural resistance to poison and disease, and can boost his health, strength, agility and endurance for a short period of time. In addition, he also knows the following spells: Detect Creature, Dispel, Heavy Burden Touch, Mark, Recall, Saintly Word, Sotha's Mirror, Spell Absorption, Strong Strong Feather, Summon Ancestral Ghost, Ulms's Juicedaw's Feather, and Vivec's Feast.

Dialogue[edit]

A Taste of Home[edit]

  • Greeting:
"Greetings, %PCClass. You're just in time. Could you do me a small favor, please? My package from Hammerfell should have arrived by now."
  • package from Hammerfell:
"I have ordered a few items from the good old homeland at Hamal's shop. Some seeds, a few trinkets, and such. The package should have arrived today, but unfortunately I'm just too busy tending to the shop to go to pick it up. I would really appreciate if you could visit the shop and bring it to me."
  • Sure, I can do that.:
"Wonderful! Thank you so much. The package is already paid for, so just tell Hamal I've sent you and he should give it to you. His shop is up the street, just near the town square, And please say hello to him for me."
  • I don't have time right now.:
"That's unfortunate. Please let me know if you change your mind."
(If you already have Kassad's Package):
  • Actually, I have a package with your name on it right here. Is this what you're looking for?:
"What? Let me see. Well, yes, this is definitely the package I ordered from Hamal. It's the right size and everything, but it's just -- where did you find it?" (Removed Kassad's Package from your inventory)
  • I had to fight a smuggler gang in a flooded cave to get it.:
"Well, that's quite an unexpected turn of events! I was going to send you on a simple errand, but I had no idea that the package would be in the hands of some smugglers. Here, take these herbs on the house. And a bit of gold for your trouble. But one thing's for sure, friend... the package was definitely worth it! Oh, you don't even know the half of it." (You receive 50 gold, 5 Saltrice, 5 Hackle-Lo Leaf, and 5 Bittergreen Petals)
"I still didn't find the time to visit Hamal's shop. What about you? Could you pick up my package from Hammerfell for me?" (See identical choices above)
"Did you get the package?"
  • Yes, I have it right here.:
"Great! You took your sweet time. I hope it wasn't too much trouble." (Removed Kassad's Package from your inventory)
  • I had to fight a smuggler gang in a flooded cave to get it.:
"Sounds like an adventure! I definitely didn't expect that an errand that simple would turn into such a mess.
  • Not yet.:
"I see. No pressure, but I'm keen to finally get my hands on it."
"Thanks for the delivery, %PCName."
