Speedy deletion

This redirect was recently put up for a speedy deletion and I lean towards opposing it.

Before I turned it into a redirect, this was a regular page that had content on it. There wasn't much on it, but two of this site's users had created the page and added content to it. Including content that wasn't present on the correctly spelled page. Additionally, the Freedom for a Fiend page linked to this incorrectly spelled page until I fixed it.

In fact, looking back through the history of that quest page, a user added the misspelled place name to that page on the 18th of October 2020. That name was then changed from a word into a link with this edit on the 24th of February 2021. It appears that the user who created this page originally did so because the link on that quest page was a redlink. In all that time, it looks like at least half a dozen people failed to notice that there was a misspelled place name while editing the two pages.

These data points tell me that this misspelling has happened enough to justify the redirect's existence. Also, the justification provided for the deletion is, "misspelling that never existed." I hope you can see from the above that this is absolutely not the case. -XJDHDR (talk) 09:22, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
