—Tom Jones
Tom Jones was a popular singer active during the Tiber War.[1] He is most famous for his performance of the song "It's Not Unusual" for Lord-Admiral Amiel Richton at Port Hunding Palace on Stros M'Kai in 2E 864, following the island's occupation by Imperial authorities in the aftermath of the Battle of Hunding Bay.[2][3][UOL 1] Jones' charisma landed him the role of court musician during the remainder of Richton's reign.[2]
The palace was taken by the Restless League that same year when the Empire's occupying forces were routed by a successful rebel uprising. Jones later performed at a dance party held by the League following the uprising, attended by famous guests such as Queen-Regent Iszara, Cyrus the Restless, and Baron Volag,[2] with the Magnificent Mariah opening for him.[4][5] For his vital service, Iszara bestowed upon him the Soul Sword, still containing the soul of Prince A'tor. Jones soon after mistakenly dropped the sword into the ocean,[2] leaving its current whereabouts unknown.
During the negotiations between Tiber Septim and the Tribunal, it was rumored that a secret clause was added to the Armistice treaty requiring Tom Jones to perform weekly at the Theoretical Dignity Club in Narsis. As fortune would have it, Jones and Cyrus eventually crossed paths again at the Delilah Tavern in southern Morrowind. Jones befriended Cyrus (after his third time being turned into a Gremlin) and decided to assist him in his quest to finally locate the fabled Eye of Argonia.[6] The ultimate fate of Tom Jones is unknown.
