Here we have a soapstone figurine, carved in the shape of a massive Argonian. Clearly, the figure depicts an Argonian behemoth--a tribal totem, perhaps. It could be centuries old; it's hard to tell with soapstone. Argonian behemoths are fearsome warriors. See the faint scoring marks? Soapstone is soft, but even so it takes a long time for etched lines to wear smooth. The style is strange, too. Mid-First Era, but from where? I am not surprised the style is strange to you. This totem comes from the Stone-Nest saxhleel of Solstice. 11th or 12th century. It depicts a vahath behemoth, a warrior cursed to relish excessive violence and death.
