Lore:Oversoul
An oversoul is a composite soul of multiple individuals into one collective. The known examples of oversouls demonstrate that the state can be achieved by both deceased and living individuals.
Amulet of Kings[edit]
The Amulet of Kings housed an Oversoul of Dragonborn Emperors who had passed on. This Oversoul was capable of describing events that occurred within a Dragon Break, which even the Elder Scrolls could not.[1] Along with the Elder Council, and the Emperor themself, a Third Era Prophet was able to sense the speech of the Amulet's Oversoul.[2] When Martin Septim, the final Dragonborn Emperor, shattered the Amulet of Kings to become an Avatar of Akatosh, the Oversoul seemingly attained some type of afterlife or ascendant state, as Martin claimed he took his place with his father, and his father's fathers.[3] Martin, by certain accounts, was said to have mantled Akatosh.[UOL 1][UOL 2]
Enantiomorph[edit]
Two enigmatic individuals, Talos and Zurin Arctus, joined together to form an Oversoul to fortify the throne and land of Tamriel.[2] They had become an Enantiomorph, and their Oversoul was known to the world as Tiber Septim.[4] In this state, they were described as the two-headed ruling king, and the red jewel of conquest who contained multitudes.[5] This Oversoul split when One betrayed the Other, and the world shuddered from this separation. Some viewed the aftermath as Anumidium forming an Empire of Evil to house the malignant half of its soul.[4] According to some sources, the ultimate victor of the Enantiomorph was Zurin Arctus,[6][7] who attained Apotheosis this way.[UOL 1]
